Syracuse lost to UND at MetLife Stadium last year in a matchup that will become more common in the future.

As part of an Atlantic Coast Conference-Notre Dame agreement, Syracuse and the Fighting Irish will meet four times between 2026 and 2037, the ACC announced Thursday morning.

The Orange and Notre Dame met at MetLife Stadium in both 2014 and 2016, both UND wins. The Fighting Irish lead the all-time series 5-3. As part of a previous agreement, SU will travel to South Bend, Indiana, on Nov. 17, 2018, and Notre Dame visits the Carrier Dome in 2022. Syracuse returns to South Bend in 2025.

The new additions, announced Thursday, include the following games:

  • Syracuse at Notre Dame in 2026
  • Notre Dame at Syracuse in 2029
  • Syracuse at Notre Dame in 2034
  • Notre Dame at Syracuse in 2037

Syracuse finished the 2016 season 4-8 under first-year head coach Dino Babers. The Fighting Irish also finished 4-8.

SU opens up the 2017 season on Sept. 1 against Central Connecticut State.
